As HESTIA enters its final phase, we are very glad to attend the 16th EASN International Conference to present our final results!

HESTIA was very glad to contribute to the technical session on H2 combustion at the ‘Hydrogen Propulsion: A Vision for Future Aviation’ workshop.

From 15 to 19 June, the HESTIA partners had a chance to meet at ASME Turbo Expo 2026, which was held in Milan.

he HESTIA project is in its final year and many new and exciting results and data are currently being produced by the consortium.

Last week, the members of the HESTIA consortium gathered at Leibniz University Hannover for the project’s third General Assembly meeting.

It was a pleasure to be part of a special session entitled “Future of Climate-Neutral Aviation: Hydrogen Combustion Pathway and Novel Engine concepts”.

The ClimAvTech cluster organised what turned out to be a lively and well-attended session at the AIAA SciTech Forum in Orlando to present EU-funded research for more sustainable aviation.

From 8 to 10 October, HESTIA partners met for the project's second General Assembly meeting.

In October, Guillaume Fournier (Safran) attended the European Aeronautics Science Network (EASN) Conference to present the progress of- the HESTIA project.

The HESTIA project was well represented at the 40th International Symposium on combustion, held in Milan from 21 to 26 July 2024.

Many HESTIA partners came together at the ASME Turbo Expo conference, which was held in London from 24 to 28 June.

HESTIA participated in a public session organised by the ClimAvTech cluster at ILA Berlin.

Last week, HESTIA's coordination team and representatives of the different work packages reviewed the work accomplished to this date with CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency.

Things are heating up, carbon free! In this newsletter, we are celebrating the first 18 months of the project and the delivery of the first technical results.

The CORIA Research Laboratory at the INSA Rouen Normandie School of Engineering (France) recently hosted HESTIA’s first General Assembly meeting. It was an opportunity for the partners to visit the CORIA facilities and to discover the test rigs that will be used within HESTIA - SIRIUS and NoRIUS - under the guidance of Professor Grisch.
