3rd General Assembly in Hannover

Last week, the members of the HESTIA consortium gathered at Leibniz University Hannover for the project’s third General Assembly meeting. They discussed the progress and remaining work as HESTIA enters its fourth and final year. During their visit to Hannover, the partners had the opportunity to visit the maintenance facilities of MTU Maintenance. They also enjoyed a tour of LUH’s Institut für Technische Verbrennung (Institute for Technical Combustion) facilities under the guidance of the hosts, Prof. Dr. Friedrich Dinkelacker and Lars Koch, M. Sc.

Following the General Assembly, a scientific workshop brought together HESTIA and the SE²A - Sustainable and Energy-Efficient Aviation cluster of excellence. After a series of lectures on the work carried out by HESTIA and SE²A, the participants – mostly PhD students – took part in a practical exercise aimed at achieving TRL6 in H2 combustion propulsion by 2038.
